Design Services

Each client is unique, we work with you to create a garden that you are inspired to connect with

  • An onsite consultation is the beginning of the landscape design process. The meeting allows us to assess the unique features of your site, gather information on your vision for the space, along with your preferences and needs. We will work together to extract a detailed brief, which is the starting point to achieving a beautifully tailored garden design that reflects your unique style. Following the consultation, we will clarify the brief in writing and provide a fee proposal associated with designing your garden.

If you are uncertain of what you need, consultations are obligation free. They are an opportunity to discuss what is right for you, whether you need a complete landscape design or if a plant design may be all you require.

Our standard design brief consultation fee is charged for this service.

  • CONCEPT DESIGN

With the acceptance of the fee proposal, we then move into the design phase. A landscape concept design is a scaled 2D drawing conceptually showing how the landscape components like finishes, materials and planting elements come together. It incorporates the design layout with images and planting palette to give you an appreciation and understanding of how your garden will look and feel. We present and collaboratively discuss the preliminary design concept with you. Utilising your feedback, we make minor adjustments where necessary, refining the design to produce the final concept landscape plan.

    DOCUMENTATION

After the final concept plan is signed off, documentation is developed so the project can be tendered and installed. Documentation will vary depending on the elements and scale of the project but commonly includes a landscape masterplan with detailed notes, planting plan, plant schedule with plant images of individual plant species, materials layout plan, set-out plan, specifications and details.

Services that are not included in your design fee, such as 3D perspectives, lighting and irrigation designs can be considered at this stage.

  • Our plant design service is perfect for the client who is happy with their existing garden bed layout, that requires plant rejuvenation. Well thought out plant selection is important for a successful garden design. We create a planting design that considers the architecture of your home, current landscaping, condition of your soil and aspect of the garden. The design will display the species, size and placement of your new plants and outline existing plants or trees that will remain. It is accompanied by a plant schedule and images of individual plant species which are helpful references for the installation of your planting plan.

  • Pot styling is ideal for those who want to incorporate potted greenery into their indoor or outdoor space. During the consultation process we will consider the aesthetic of your home or commercial space together with your style preferences. A layout plan is created that will outline the pot selections, the position of the pots with accompanying plants and pricing of the pots. Documented advice is given on the best soil composition for each plant to give them the best environment in which to thrive. We can also provide a quote for the supply of your pots and plants.

  • Ensuring the correct planting palette has been implemented is important to the successful execution of your garden design. We offer a service where we quote for the supply of plants for your project. We advise and talk through with you the relevant pot size based on budget and design requirements. Larger trees and plants can be sourced for feature trees and instant screening if needed, where smaller pots are considered for fast growing species or when budget constraints need to be considered.

  • We offer project consultation to ensure the integrity of the design is preserved during the construction process of your garden. Should you choose to engage us we can liaise with your contractors to achieve an outcome reflecting the true essence of your design. This can include talking the design through with your landscaper or project manager prior to installation, through to being onsite for the setting out of your plants.

  • We are experienced in preparing landscape design documentation for Development Applications (DA), Complying Development Certificate (CDC) and Design Review Committee (DRC) approval for housing estates. We take a customised approach to each project, whether you require a design that cost effectively meets council requirements or a tailored design that enhances the unique style of your development.
